SkipTheDishes welcomes you to its Skip+ service. The “Skip+ Service” (“Skip+”) is a paid subscription service, granting membership to Skip’s loyalty program offered at the sole discretion of SkipTheDishes Restaurant Services Inc. (“Skip”) under these Loyalty Terms, as set out below (the “Loyalty Terms”).
These Loyalty Terms govern the Loyalty Program, including Skip’s relationship with members of the Loyalty Program (collectively, “Loyalty Members” or “Skip+ Members” and individually, a “Loyalty Member” or “Skip+ Member” or “you” or “your”), and how Skip+ Members manage their accounts. For clarity, the Loyalty Program is separate from the Skip Rewards Program, the terms for which can be found here.
Processing of personal information under these Loyalty Terms are subject to Skip’s Privacy Policy and collectively consist of the following parts:
Part 1: The terms of the Skip+ service (the Skip+ Terms of Use);
Part 2: The provisions which relate to the terms of the subscription agreement, and how it will apply (the “Subscription Terms”); and
Part 3: The terms relating to the different rewards and offers from Skip offered as part of the Loyalty Programme (“Skip+ Rewards Terms”) and selected third party brand partners (“Third Party Partnerships”)
Part 1 - Skip+ Terms of Use
General
These Terms of Use set out how you may use Skip+. By accessing and using Skip+ you are deemed to accept these Terms (and the standard SkipTheDishes Terms of Service) and confirm that you accept and agree to comply with them. Please read them carefully and if you do not accept them, please do not register for or use Skip+. You can unsubscribe from Skip+ without charge and at any time by: opening the Skip app, visiting the Your Account page by clicking on the profile icon -> Skip+ Management -> Cancel membership. On the website, visit Account Settings by clicking on the profile icon -> Skip+ Management -> Cancel membership. If you cancel during the trial period, you will still receive the free trial but will not be billed following its expiration.
What is Skip+?
2.1 Skip+ provides Skip with a platform to offer eligible Skip+ Members with the account benefits detailed as part of these Terms, as well as rewards and offers from time to time, which may include access to prize draws and competitions, and including but not limited to $0 delivery fee (subject to 11.2) (collectively “Skip+ Rewards”). The Skip+ Rewards may include rewards and offers from selected third party brand partners (“Brands”) subject to the terms herein.
2.2 Skip+ is a subscription based program, offered by Skip to its registered Skip+ Members at an agreed monthly charge plus applicable taxes (the “Monthly Charge”) which will continue on a recurring basis until your Skip+ Membership is cancelled either by you or us (the “Subscription Service”). Skip reserves the right to amend the amount of the Monthly Charge for new customers at any time.
2.3 Eligibility - to become a Skip+ Member, you must be a user of the Skip service:
(i.) who is over 18 years of age;
(ii.) holds a Canadian credit or Visa Debit card; and
(iii.) is using Skip+ for their own personal, non-commercial use only.
2.4 Enrollment in Skip+
You may apply to enrol in Skip+ by adding a recurring payment method when requested (“Add payment method”) which you hereby authorise Skip to take payment of the Monthly Charge (see clause 2.2), and by accepting these LoyaltyTerms.
New services: Skip+ is continually evolving. We reserve the right to enable new features and functionality at any time and you agree that we may make available, provision and/or deploy the same or similar at any time in accordance with these terms, and/or any special terms as updated to you.
Skip reserves the right to amend or cancel either all or part of the Loyalty Program in accordance with the notice and termination rights set out in its general Terms of Service, and at its sole discretion.
Part 2: The Subscription Terms
Skip+ is offered to all eligible users of the Skip service (see clause 2.3) and have successfully enrolled in the Skip+ Program (see clause 2.4).
Skip+ is available on a monthly subscription basis which may be cancelled at any time by: opening the app, visiting the Your Account page by clicking on the profile icon -> Skip+ Management -> Cancel membership. Provided you cancel at least 48 hours prior to the end of your free trial period, you will not be charged. On the website, visit Account Settings by clicking on the profile icon -> Skip+ Management -> Cancel membership.You can cancel your membership at any time, but please note that you’ll need to let us know at least 48 hours before your first/next billing period starts to avoid the next months’ charges being taken.
Free Trial: Skip+ is made available for first time users only, on an agreed limited time basis for free (the “Free Trial”). First time users are those who have not previously enrolled in the Loyalty Program via either Skip’s website (www.skipthedishes.com) or mobile app. The length of your Free Trial will be communicated to you at the time that you enrol in the program, and Skip reserves the right to extend this offer in your favour, on at least 7 days notice. If this occurs, we will also communicate to you the new date on which your first Monthly Charge will be taken from the card details that you have provided. We will send you a reminder 7 days before the end date of your Free Trial - if you wish to cancel your Skip+ Membership at this time and avoid incurring any Monthly Charges, you will need to follow the cancellation instructions included clause 6 above.
Monthly Charge: At the end of your Free Trial, you agree to pay a Monthly Charge plus associated taxes. The date this is first charged, from your stored card, will have been communicated to you at the time you enrolled (the “Payment Date”) unless subsequently updated by Skip to a later date. This amount will then be charged on a monthly basis moving forwards.
Subscription obtained through Third Parties - if you obtain a Skip+ subscription via a third party, that subscription is also subject to the third party’s terms and conditions.
Part 3: The Skip+ Reward Terms
Promotional and experimental features: In our continued review of the Skip+ service, we may, from time to time, with respect to any or all of our users, experiment or otherwise offer certain features or other elements of Skip+, including promotional features, user interfaces and pricing. Your use of any updates, modifications to, or replacement versions of Skip+ are governed by these terms and any additional terms you agree to when you use the updated service.
As part of the Skip+ programme, subscribers are entitled to at least the following loyalty benefits:
11.1 $0 delivery fee on orders placed at participating Partners, subject to a minimum spend of at least $15 (before associated taxes) in order to benefit from the Free Delivery Promotion. Such minimum order value may vary depending on the Partner selected, but will always be shown to you before placing your order on the platform. Participating partners may change at any time.
11.2 Discounted service fees: A saving of at least 40% off the regular Services Fees charged. Participating partners only. Participating partners will be identifiable when placing an order through the use of the Skip+ logo. You can check the Service Fee charged by each participating partner in the partner menu. Service Fees in general may vary between partners and locations.
11.3 Skip+ Members will be entitled to exclusive and/or priority access to promotions offered by Skip and its partners from time to time, provided you have not opted out of receiving marketing communications from Skip.
Additional promotional benefits, offers and rewards may additionally be made available from time to time, subject to any additional terms published alongside those offers or rewards.
Part 4: Privacy
Skip may share your personal information with Partners in connection with the Skip+ Program (the “Program”). The Partner’s collection, use and disclosure of personal information about you in connection with the Program will be governed by the partner’s privacy policy. In line with Skip’s Privacy Policy and T&Cs, the following types personal information may be collected, used and disclosed in order to provide you with Skip+ services [user ID, card number (masked), partner ID, user name, created timestamp, modified timestamp, membership status] and may also be used to identify you as a Skip+ subscriber and to share targeted offers to market and promote the Program. If you wish to withdraw your consent to marketing communications, you may contact Skip or the Partner at any time.
Third party partnerships
From time to time, Skip may partner with third party partners to offer additional benefits to customers of those partners. We reserve the right to amend or reserve these terms from time to time on reasonable notice to you.
CIBC Partner Terms
CIBC customers who enrol in the Skip+ loyalty program, using their eligible CIBC credit or debit card, will receive an extended Free Trial of 12 months (the “Extended Free Trial”);
On linking your CIBC and Skip+ account (please see our Skip + FAQs for more information on thow to do this), you will also be entitled to a welcome offer including a voucher entitling you to $15 off orders of $30 or more (excluding fees) for use on up to three orders. We will send this voucher within 48 hours of linking accounts. Voucher is valid for 30 days’ from receipt. To use this voucher, you will need to use a CIBC card to pay for each order. Additional bonus offers exclusively available to customers who have linked their CIBC and Skip+ accounts may be made available on a monthly basis;
At the conclusion of your Extended Free Trial, CIBC customers will be entitled to a reduced Monthly Charge of $6.99 per month, plus appropriate taxes.
