74 refers to 1874, the year that Brights wines was established. This port-style wine has aromas of assorted berries jam, plum, spices and mushrooms. Apera is the term for sherry-style wines that originate outside of Spain. Amber in colour, with pruny, nutty, figgy and grapey aroma. The strawberry hints here come from berries grown on a farm across from the distillery, and they join other locally sourced ingredients such as gentian, bitter orange peel, sarsaparilla, vanilla and cinchona to create this rich, sweet, delicious vermouth.
